Hair Care Tips:
Treat this hair like your own hair. Use good quality shampoo and conditioning products. Conditioning your hair is very important to keep it soft and manageable. We recommend using a deep conditioner on your virgin hair once per week, but avoid using oil or heavy styling products. If you have product build up, use a clarifying shampoo but follow with a moisturizing shampoo. With proper hair care, the lifespan of BR Collection Virgin Hair can last for at least 3 years.
Extensions can be curled, colored, lightened, straighten and will bounce back to its natural pattern once washed! Yes, this is 100% virgin human hair that is not processed in any way. So you can color the hair, once virgin hair is treated in any way, it is no longer virgin, and therefore we recommend that you color or process your hair by a professional.
Brushing Your Hair:
You need to regularly brush your hair to keep away knots and tangles. To brush your hair you need to use a paddle brush or a wide tooth comb. Always brush from the ends of your hair to the root of your hair. To keep your hair from knotting up, hold it together as to form a ponytail, and brush it. Following this technique will keep your hair from tangling.
Shampooing and Conditioning:
It is recommended to use products that are alcohol-free and sulfate free. OGX Argan Oil of Morocco (hydrate + repair) shampoo and conditioner is a great option. Gently massage the shampoo and conditioner into your hair. DO NOT rub in circular motions! Keep hair hanging as straight as possible during the washing process. DO NOT use hot water to rinse your hair instead use lukewarm water. It is recommended to shampoo and condition your hair at least once a week. Also try to use products that are specifically made for your hair type.
Wavy & Curly Hair:
If you have wavy or curly textured hair extensions and plan to wear the hair wavy or curly you need to apply a curl defining/curl control cream while the hair is wet. We recommend Curls Crème Brule whipped curl creme along with Curls Goddess Curls botanical gelle. This way it will stop the hair from frizzing and lock in the wave or curl in the hair.
